About David
David Lakins is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer at Holidaymaker, and Managing Director of Key Digital, one of the UK’s leading digital agencies for the holiday park and tourism sector.
He has spent more than two decades helping parks and hospitality businesses strengthen their digital presence.
His background includes web development, UX and marketing strategy. Because of this, he understands how technology can simplify operations while improving the guest experience.
Through Key Digital, David has led projects for hundreds of operators. The work has included websites, booking integrations and marketing campaigns that help businesses grow direct and stay in control of their digital footprint.
As Co-founder of Holidaymaker, he continues that mission. The platform connects displays, TV, kiosks, apps and AI tools into one system that supports every stage of the guest journey. It gives operators practical tools to communicate clearly, build loyalty and manage digital channels from one place.
David also sits on the BH&HPA IT Steering Group and contributes regularly to the BH&HPA Journal. Offering clear, practical insight on technology, marketing and guest engagement.

After the morning break, David Lakins will lead the Holidaymaker session. Exploring how joined-up technology, smarter content and open collaboration are reshaping hospitality.
The discussion will look at what’s now possible when systems start working together. From direct bookings and rebookings, to smoother in-stay communication and connected guest experiences across every touchpoint.
Alongside the Key Digital and Holidaymaker teams, David will share how the platform continues to grow through partnerships, integrations and community input.
Focusung on creating a single, open ecosystem that helps operators, partners and guests connect more easily, and makes technology feel simpler again.
