About Marc
After 30+ years working in the front line of industry Marc was appointed as the CEO of The Scottish Tourism Alliance (STA). Where he has been at the helm of the organisation since 2012.
In addition to this he co-chairs the Tourism and Hospitality Industry Leadership Group (THILG), with the Minister for Business and Employment Richard Lochhead MSP.
He is also a board member of Apprenticeship in Hospitality Scotland, Interface, an advisory board member to Springboard and a member of the Scotrail Stakeholder Forum.
In 2020 Marc was awarded the “Fellowship” by the Scottish Hotel industry. Followed in June 2022 when he was awarded an MBE in the Queens Platinum Jubilee Birthday Honours for services to the Tourism Industry in Scotland.
At XP Hospitality Edinburgh 2025 Marc will share current context for Scottish tourism, and the choices facing the industry.
