Professor Dimitrios Buhalis is one of the most cited researchers in hospitality and tourism worldwide.
At Bournemouth University, he directs the eTourism Lab and the International Centre for Tourism and Hospitality Research. He has written more than 25 books and 400 scientific articles, and his work has influenced global organisations such as the UNWTO and the World Bank.
As Editor in Chief of Tourism Review and the Encyclopedia of Tourism Management and Marketing, he continues to shape how academics and practitioners think about the sector. He has also been recognised as a Highly Cited Researcher three years running and listed among the world’s top 2% of scientists by Stanford University.
