In 2017 Skelwith launched its Advantage Club which allows guests to save money on holiday bookings as well as enjoy discounts with selected local attractions and eateries.

The club provides access to exclusive offers from partner businesses across Cumbria, including a wide range of experiences, including dining, drinking, leisure activities, pampering, and day trips. Encouraging guests to come back again and again to explore the local area and try new attractions and experiences.

For a small annual fee, guests and homeowners can join the scheme and take advantage of deals that Henry and his team have negotiated with its Lakeland partners.

The club provides exclusive last-minute deals, which are emailed throughout the year. These deals can be as low as £5 per pitch, per night! With ample opportunities for members to benefit from these offers.

Advantage club members can also enjoy discounts when shopping at Skelwith’s on-site shop. The offers vary seasonally, with the most popular one being a 10% discount on luxury Skelwith-branded wines, jams, chutneys, and biscuits.


Developing long-term loyalty

The majority of Skelwith Fold Advantage Club members save well beyond their annual membership fee throughout the year, so it is a win-win for everyone. It is the perfect tool for developing long-term loyal customers as well as strengthening the network with local attraction partners.

The Advantage Club concept has been embedded within the Skelwith holidaymaker App – so members can now see the exclusive deals from participating attractions and pubs directly on their smartphone. When a member visits a local attraction, they can show their digital VIP card within the app and instantly get money off.

As Henry expands his local partner scheme, he is able to monitor which VIP offers are most popular with his guests and gain valuable insight to both on-park and off-site customer behaviour.
